Expect Updates

I was able to plug my laptop into a separate monitor; I extracted everything I wanted off of it. Less than 3 gigs. I didn't really do much. o_o

Bottom line is, I got the screenshots. I'll be uploading them soon.

By the way, wiseaufan hasn't responded to my emails for a while. It's odd.

This is quite pesky.

Yeah, I can't seem to find that wiseaufan guy now. He won't reply to my messages.

I guess I'll keep trying, but.. damn. I really wanted to know what other albums Sam listened to.

Laptop Problems.

Yeah, sorry about these delays. My laptop's gone overboard. Seems to have adapted a horrible collection of colours to the screen. I can't use it anymore.

I'll have to talk to that wiseaufan guy about getting those screenshots again. We were just getting somewhere, I'm sure.

This internet sucks at uploading pictures.

Continued from previous post. And screw dates; you can read the dates for yourself. I'm too lazy.

New albums!

Sam now has Genesis' Selling England by the Pound and ELP's Tarkus. Includes comments.

Buying England Back by the Dollar.

Sam analyzes Selling England by the Pound. He doesn't seem to like it anywhere near as much as I do. Shame, too. It's a classic album.

Comments for "Buying England Back by the Dollar."

By this point, my brother and his girlfriend are coming within a week-ish, so I let Sam know I won't be frequenting the blog in a week. Yeah, sorry, Sam. I kinda.. forgot all about Progression Enhanced. D:

Defeating Tarkus.

Sam attempts to analyze Emerson, Lake & Palmer's Tarkus. I admit, this seemed a little odd. He only really listened to the title track, and it seems he really liked it. A lot. Now, since having frequented this blog and then stopped, I've since listened to "Tarkus." I like it. The last movement, Aquatarkus, is really catchy. But I don't like it as much as Sam apparently does.

The comments to "Defeating Tarkus."

Sam mentions that he won't spoil the ending to "Tarkus." However, I will. So the armadillo/tank is defeated by the manticore, right? Then, in the final movement, Aquatarkus, Tarkus is reborn in the sea. ..that's it. I don't see what's so cryptic about that.

From here on, I have no idea what the future entries are. I stopped frequenting the blog around then. So let's do this!

Whaddya know, got some leads.

I was just contacted by someone called "wiseaufan01." He said he used to frequent Progression Enhanced, as well, but he took screenshots of every entry. I asked him why, but he wouldn't say. Anyway, he's giving me the screenshots.

You'll have to click it to read it.
Prelude to the Blog Entries. Monday, November 22nd, 2010.

Sam's a prog fan, much like me. Here we have the first entry, giving a better explanation as to what the hell "progressive rock" is than I ever could. If you'll look back, I did try to explain what prog was in an earlier entry, but my god, I suck. xD

Tearing Down The Wall, same day.

Sam breaks down Pink Floyd's The Wall for us. I like this stuff. I mean, seriously. Sam's a wise dude, but some of his facts seem incorrect. Luckily, this is where I came in! xD

The comments to "Tearing Down The Wall." See that? That's me. :D Like I said, I used to frequent this blog.

Waking Up The Lamb, November 29th, 2010.

Holy crap, it's my favourite album. :D The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, by Genesis. It doesn't seem like Sam likes it as much as I do.

The comments to "Waking Up The Lamb."
Here we have me showing my inner prog fan, as well as some garbled spam!

Will continue this in a separate entry.

What the heck?

So the other day, I mentioned an old blog I used to frequent. A prog blog that analyzed and "broke down" prog pieces. Well, today I remembered it. It was called Progression Enhanced, and.. shit, I'm still following it.

It's allegedly at http://progend.blogspot.com/ but no longer. I checked out the URL to see what I've missed since I stopped frequenting it in December, and...

It has been removed.

This surprises me. Progression Enhanced was a fucking awesome blog, and its blogger, some bloke by the name of Sam.. Sam was a cool dude!

RIP Progression Enhanced. You were a great blog, a testament to prog  blogs everywhere.

I'm gonna do some more research on this.

My Favourite Band Touches Me Invisibly

Can you hear me?
Can you see?

I've been listening to a lot of Phil Collins-era Genesis lately. Shit, how does anyone not like these guys? They're so amazing, no matter who's the frontman.

It was only a little while ago that I realized Invisible Touch has all the makings of a classic album. I know I said I'd do some track-by-track analyses on my favourite albums, but.. I think I'll do one of this.

- Invisible Touch, the title track, is the definitive 80s pop song to me. "Abacab" is a close second. Sure, it's a huuuuuge change from their earlier work, but at the same time, it proves Genesis is ultimately progressive. They progressed from being a prog band to being a big radio hit, while still doing the occasional prog classic!

- Tonight, Tonight, Tonight has one of the greatest extended instrumental sections I've ever heard. The lyrics intrigue me, as well.

- Land of Confusion is a classic classic. xD It's the definitive 80s rock song to me. Thanks to Disturbed and the wonders of the internet, this has even become a personal meme of mine. "That's not Land of Confusion! That's not Disturbed!" And here's a hipster saying if there ever was one: I liked "Land of Confusion" before I even knew Disturbed covered it. >w> I'm not even mentioning the epic music video.

- In Too Deep... just shit, man. One of the three songs of the album I don't actually listen to. I just stick it on in the background. Yet when the chorus comes along, I sometimes sing along.

- Anything She Does has a great rhythm. That's all I know about it.

- Domino. Fuck yes. "Domino" is an amazing song, one of the aforementioned prog classics. In the Glow of the Night starts the piece off with your average 80s Genesis song, yet the lyrics hint at something still to come. The Last Domino expands on these lyrics and just absolutely.. kicks it up to eleven. In every way. Anyone who says Phil Collins isn't metal has never heard these goddamn lyrics. Take a look at the mountains! Take a look at the beautiful river of blood. I don't even need to say anything further. That's fucking metal. The rhythm going on at this point of the song is one of the most epic sounds I've ever heard, especially in an 80s song. And I mean "epic" in the "Something really fucking huge is going on right now" sense. Then the song progresses a bit, and it all comes together in the exciting finale, which is like a completely separate 80s song. xD In a way, "Domino" is like what would happen if someone were to ask "What happens between every 80s song?" I'll tell you what. Prog happens.

- Throwing it all Away. ..I don't remember this song. Maybe it's an easter egg. Maybe if I listen to it again, I'll hear some Satanic message telling me the Operator is coming to get me or something.

- The Brazilian completely fucked. My. Mind. Up. I played it for my completely metal, METAL, and MOAR METAAAAL friend, and it fucked HIS mind up. "The Brazilian" is everything an instrumental should be (except for LONG. It should be LONGER THAN THIS. And more progressive.). It's catchy, it's beautiful, it's an epic closer, and it.. just... rocks.

So yeah. Genesis, man. I love Genesis. So much. .w. Phil Collins' voice soothes me. Peter Gabriel's voice takes me back to my childhood. I think I'll do more of these track-by-track analyses sometime.

Don't you hear me?
Don't you see?

On "Supper's Ready"

Blogging about prog reminded me of a blog I once found a number of months ago, a blog that 'broke down' prog pieces, analyzing them whilst offering while they may not be that good. I liked that blog a lot. I frequented it. I don't know what happened to it, though. I'll take a look for it sometime.

IN THE MEANTIME (Spacehog), I realized I had most of a ramble on one of my favourite songs saved as a draft here. So here, I finished it and it's being published! I don't talk much about how it could be improved ('cause I love it too much for that!), but it's still a prog ramble, and.. I like those.

Now, throughout the various songs I have heard in my time, I think "Supper's Ready," by Genesis, is objectively one of the more epic pieces. I shall elaborate... when I'm done listening to this stunning solo. ^___^
Don't get me wrong. I've heard plenty of songs. I've loved and hated various ones multiple times. I often hate songs I play too much, though Genesis never gets on my nerves. I always get lost in the music. "In the Presence of Enemies" is another song I can never hate, though by Dream Theater. ItPoE, coincidentally, is another truly epic piece, though I will explain why I feel Supper's Ready surpasses it.
(Note: This elaboration is nothing like a musical analysis; it won't involve any fancy terms or even that good of an explanation. Frankly, it's gonna suck. But I'm just rambling about one of my favourite songs.)
How about we start at a section of the piece that is not even a part of the song? Track five off of Foxtrot, "Horizons" is a small little guitar prelude, beginning with a classical style and progressing to be much more baroque. If a song's description includes the words "guitar," "prelude," "classical," "progressing," and "baroque" in it, then you can bet I'll be sold. =D To put it with a bit more perspective, "Horizons" is a nice break following a series of rather intense, rather proggy songs. It calms you down and mellows the mood a bit to get you ready for the upcoming epic. You could even say it makes the album seem almost...... boring. In a good way. You begin to think the album won't be going anywhere. Then...
..bam. No, not "bam." Just.. "Welcome." The word is not said, but you just get the feeling of being welcomed into a quiet little love song. "A Lover's Leap" is the introduction to Genesis' longest song, and the piece may not stand out with ultra progginess, but it certainly sets the stage with the recurring theme of love, souls, and the recurring musical theme that will show up again later. Peter Gabriel's soothing voice welcomes you into the song, just as he welcomes the lover to his arms. The piece then drifts off on a little musical tangent before the lovers' journey begins.
Actually, the lovers' journey had begun during the musical tangent. The protagonists gaze into each others' eyes and drift off to some sort of mythical wonderland. By the time "The Guaranteed Eternal Sanctuary Man" slams in to our speakers, it feels as if it's been playing this whole time. Apparently, this piece tells us about the dangers of science. Normally, I would feel offended about that. I then realize that this is a mythical song with tons of mythical elements in it, emphasis on "mythical." Either way, the protagonists find themselves lost in a strange world, watching strange characters give out strange potions. SUDDENLY
BAM. A skirmish among odd creatures has broken out. "Ikhnaton And Itsacon And Their Band Of Merry Men" has begun. There is conflict everywhere we look as the lyrics turn to onomatopoeias and a sense of rush. Steve Hackett has his fun on his guitar, and we are treated to some quite entertaining musical tangents, and hey! One side has won the battle. The commotion dies down, almost to pure silence. "How Dare I Be So Beautiful?" is a much, much, much more mellow piece. Most of what is heard is just gentle chords fading in and out, as the lovers walk past the former battlefield. They come upon the Greek myth Narcissus, who is then turned into a flower. Hey, a flower? That reminds me of...
"Willow Farm!" Hey! Now THIS sounds like prog. Quirky, sudden, and almost nonsensical. It appears the lovers have come across a farm.. filled with magic that turns people into ducks, ducks into weblogs, and weblogs into cassette tapes. This is arguably where the song picks up and becomes rather magical, though I tend to zone out at this point. >_> I haven't given this particular part a proper listening to in a while. How about we move on? This section ends about as unexpectedly as it begun, with an extended sustain note becoming almost.. unfamiliar. They actually manage to make a sustained note progress. One note. Seriously. It progresses into a flute solo before you even notice anything's changed. Then we move on to a gentle guitar interlude until the drums come marchin' in, hinting that maybe we're about to enter..
"Apocalypse in 9/8!" This... well. I will not even begin to describe this movement. Okay? I cannot begin to describe it. It is quite possibly my ALL-TIME favourite movement of anything EVER. I'm not mentioning the lyrics, the instruments, the sound, nor the truly unforgettable keyboard solo.
"As Sure as Eggs is Eggs (Aching Men's Feet)," finally, is where it all comes together. The whole song has progressed more times than is even possible. Now we've progressed so much.. that we're back where we started. The lovers have concluded their journey and are now back, their love burning brighter than ever before. Every single recurring theme in the song so far comes back in beautiful harmony for this movement, and we're treated to the most disappointing part of the song-- the ending. ..as in, it fades out. >_> I hate it when songs fade out. But whatever!

..this has been my ramble on Genesis' "Supper's Ready." Give it a listen sometime, will ya?

On Favourite Albums, one: Overture

The other day, I mentioned my Big Four favourite albums. Lemme explain!

You see, when I'm asked for my favourite album of all time, my answer always varied. After some time, I started to realize my answer was always one of four. So I started saying I have four favourite albums. Of all time. I call them my "Big Four."

My Big Four has been, ever since naming them in the first place:
- Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
- Genesis' Selling England by the Pound
- Dream Theater's Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
- Dream Theater's Metropolis, part two: Scenes from a Memory

So yeah! I really love Genesis and Dream Theater. >_> But y'know what? I think, in all honesty, I can list both Dream Theater entries under The Dream Theater Meta-Album, as well as two other DT classics, so there!

But at the same time, I'm starting to think about what other albums may be classified as my favourites.

- Between the Buried and Me's Colors is a definite contender. Definitely.
- Pearl Jam's Ten? A big "possibly."
- Radiohead's Kid A? I mean.. maybe?
- I'm sure, once I've listened to Yes' Tales from Topographic Oceans even more, that'll be on the list. It's a work of art in itself.

..well. My intention was to make a track-by-track analysis of why I love my Big Four. Perhaps I should do one of the Big Four, plus the new contenders...
..let's do it!

DJay32's "Big Four" Favourite Albums, plus four contenders for MORE Favourites.

To be analyzed in entries to come.

On the Theory of Music Fame Relativity

Every now and again, I like to look at my massive, steadily-increasing music collection (consisting mainly of proper physical CD-based albums, though I also have four Genesis cassettes, dozens of vinyls, and even an EP or two-- bottom line is, I never purchase downloaded music) and ponder things about relative music popularity as a whole.

So if you look back at the earlier music, we can see a bit of a clear pattern. For the 50s and earlier pieces, anything we hear is a classic, as anything else has died off due to unpopularity. Natural selection of music. In the 60s, you mainly hear about the big acts, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Beach Boys, all that jazz. Much like the earlier stuff, these have been carefully selected by us (we 'select' the music in such a way that reminds me of hive minds, collective consciousnesses) as being truly classic, while if you look hard enough, you can start to find some of the less 'classic' pieces (such as Genesis' From Genesis to Revelation, or literally everything made by Led Zeppelin!) (..I'm teasing).

Then, as the years go on, we start to get exponentially more music to choose from, but we can still easily tell which are the 'classics.' In the 70s, these are such bands as Rush, Yes, David Bowie, (perhaps Pink Floyd, if your standards are low enough,) AC/DC, ..and.. other bands from the seventies (I'm sorry, I can't easily name the years of many bands)! In the 80s, we get such classics as Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Genesis (their pop years were 'classic!' ..shut up!), Billy Joel (if you're into him), Meat Loaf, INXS, Tears for Fears, Talking Heads... you get a lot of bands, basically, with still even more non-classics!

Then we get to the 90s. For a long time, the nineties weren't exactly associated with good music, you see. But yet now we look back and we can see some true 'classics' such as Depeche Mode, Dream Theater (their early work), Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, U2, Oasis, The Prodigy... and loads more than that, no doubt.

So now we have the 00s. The nowties, if you will. ..noughties. 00s. It doesn't seem like too many amazing pieces of art were released recently, but that's just the nostalgia filter talking. Here we get to the point I've been trying to get to for a while.

What bands, what albums, what sub-genres and whole genres that were focused on in the 00s will we look back on in the future and regard as true 'classics?'

Looking back now, I can already name a few of my own personal taste.

Coldplay's Parachutes is a classic-- it certainly is to me. Even if Coldplay, themselves, hate the album. Every song sounds carefully chosen, carefully crafted; it's one hell of a debut album.

Radiohead's Kid A, for sure. Now don't get me wrong! I'm a strict prog guy most of the time! Radiohead is way too mainstream for me usually, but.. Kid A, much like Parachutes, just.. tugs at my emotions in strange ways. Plus, I already made a blog post describing my love for it.

Muse's Origins of Symmetry.. I mean, even the album, itself, has a rather famous backstory, showing the band being held back by their record companies or.. whatnot. And then the songs, themselves, are fantastic-- especially when compared to the tracks of Showbiz.

Oh god yes. Dream Theater's Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Now.. yes, I'm a Dream Theater fan at heart-- my views are biased. But this might possibly be the one DT album on the list. Six Degrees is everything one could ask for in a prog album-- six songs revolving around a set concept (in this case, inner turbulence, or mental unrest), with the shortest song being just over six minutes long (oh hey six 8D) and the longest, the sixth, being forty-two minutes (six times seven 8D) and revolving around six specific cases of mental problems. The songs, themselves, vary in sound from the heaviness of "The Glass Prison" to the eerie gaps of silence in "Misunderstood."
(..to put it simply, Six Degrees is one of the very, very, very, very few albums that gets to be referred to as one of my "big four" favourite albums. I'll talk more about them later.)

Possibly Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf. Possibly.

Now, this is most likely just my opinion.. but Coheed & Cambria's collective Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV is one of the finer classics out there, storywise (lyrics and otherwise), structurally, and in some ways sound-wise. Of course, this is only when Volumes One and Two are counted as one single double-album. Alone, they.. are lacking. Considerably. Together, they make for a rather diverse (for punk) trip into the meta and sci-fi worlds, even managing to accurately pull off Through the Eyes of Madness (a feat admirable on its own). Now... I will admit that one of the biggest reasons I adore Good Apollo is because the story of the Writing Writer is so uncannily similar to my own.

Mastodon's Blood Mountain.... well... maybe. Consider this entry as just simply saying that I, myself, prefer Blood Mountain by far above Crack the Skye. xD So just ignore this entry.

Muse's Black Holes & Revelations is another maybe.

Oh, here's a definite classic: Between the Buried & Me's Colors. Here's an album that shows, above all else, unbelievable potential and true diversity in sound. Really, though, don't get me wrong. I, like many others, have a strong distaste for growling vocals. They are easily the low-point of Colors for me. Yet still, this 64-minute progressive trip into the cityscape (the same one that burns brighter by the hour) absolutely astonishes upon merely the first listening. Every consecutive listening only strengthens my love for it. It is, structurally, an absolutely insane in every definition of the word... masterpiece. It is, lyrically, a cryptically poetic, a poetically cryptic, a divine and deep beyond imagination... masterpiece. It is, in terms of instrumentation, an intense exercise on your expectations, a masterpiece that starts off brutally beating the shit out of your ears, leaving you wondering where the hell the "art" is in this unforgiving sound.. but as it progresses, you begin to discover exactly where the colors lay in this beauty... this loving and always-forgiving (all together now...).... masterpiece.
...loljk it sucks n BtBaM are fags
But yeah. >_> I love Colors, and I intend on following Between the Buried & Me, listening to each and every consecutive album of theirs from now until they disband (hopefully not for a long time).

Muse's The Resistance... musically, it's catchy and beautiful in a couple of ways. Lyrically.. a tiny bit lacking. Structurally, it's uncannily similar to 1984, albeit with the extra "Exogenesis Symphony" (which, by the way, is my favourite Muse song by far). Now, frontman Matthew Bellamy claims the album is not a retelling of 1984, which disappoints me. You see, if it's not a retelling, then it is one of the most unoriginal albums ever made. If it is, it's pretty damn genius, with the aforementioned "Exogenesis Symphony" being a proposed 'solution' to the horrible Orwellian dystopia.

Finally, quite possibly the last album you'd expect from me, Plan B's The Defamation of Strickland Banks. This is an R&B/Soul album by British rapper Plan B. But.. you see, it just so happens to be a concept album. It tells the rock opera of eponymous Strickland Banks, soul singer who is accused of rape and unjustly imprisoned. I've gotta say, I was hardly expecting this album to be anywhere near good.. but holy shit. It's powerful, it's catchy as hell, it's just the kind of story I'm interested in, and it has a rather ambiguous ending. Now, once again I say don't get me wrong. I hate ambiguous endings more than anything else. The end to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway was quite possibly the ONLY part of the narrative I disliked, as well as the ending to Inception. But.. I mean, it actually fit in Defamation. It relies on the instability and risk of the court system, after all. Just.... bah! Defamation.. just about every part of it clicks with me in all the right ways.

..so yeah! These are just my personal 'classics.' I hope at least a couple of these will turn out to be popularized as such in the future.

A Kid

Listened to Kid A last night. Been meaning to get into Radiohead all this time. So I popped it on and I came up with my own little interpretation of the album!

(Note: Interpretation is purely subjective, lyrically inaccurate, and still tentative. Will expand.)

So everything's in its right place when in comes Anthony. He is a miscount according to his country's laws, so he needs to disappear (He becomes so caught up in trying to disappear that he convinces himself he does not exist.). He does not exist..... and he begins to sprout trees with everything he touches, until everything around him becomes a wild forest. At first, he greets this world with much optimism while out in the real world his body is wandering the streets. His body wanders into a market while in his mind he has left the forest and is now traveling the oceans.. where he washes up on a beach. He sees the ice age coming and sets up a fire... in real life (Birds are coming on the beach! Birds! Birds! But it's really people screaming as the fire spreads.). The story picks up an undetermined amount of time later as the morning bell wakes Anthony up in a safe apartment somewhere (He cannot tell whether he is really in the apartment or if this is just in his head. Sooner or later, everything blends together.) Finally, as his mind ponders on whether or not life is but a film, Anthony becomes lost to his thoughts. ..however.. the forest has burned down. Anthony's mind is represented in song for the remainder of the album.

Afterwards, I listened to the accompaniment album, Amnesiac. I came up with an interpretation to that, too!

Here we have the residents, packed like sardines in a crushed tin box (Their town is tiny, and they do not get chances to expand.). One resident (the Amnesiac) wakes up to find the town has grown greatly and is still growing (This allows the residents to enjoy brand new opportunities, new aspects of life! But the Amnesiac can't help but feel that there's something wrong with this.). Life begins to enter a revolving cycle.. except for the trees (The trees grow with every cycle. The Amnesiac notices this and comments.). The others shun the Amnesiac and so he prepares to either fight or run, his thoughts are kindled and we see him debate with himself that he might be wrong. So the Amnesiac takes out his knives.. and begins cutting down the forest. The morning bell begins ringing... and the Amnesiac wakes up in the middle of the forest with his memory gone. In the Amnesiac's mind he creates a complex world with civilization and money (In his mind, there is Kid A's universe; in Anthony's mind, there is Amnesiac's universe.). Abruptly, some other residents show up and mess around (The Amnesiac attempts to chase them off but the scuffle creates a fire.). The Amnesiac becomes distracted by the fire and tries his best to prevent it from getting larger. In the end, he gets lost in his mind once he sees the fire get too big (In his mind, he watches some sort of film.. about Kid A. Throughout the movie, snippets of his own life show up as his life flashes before his eyes.).

But yeah, for now, I'm just going to talk about Kid A.

I liked Kid A. A lot.

Just.. I dunno. Everything about it. The album art, the lack of lyrics in the liner notes (instead, the art provided is gorgeous), the whole openness of how the album is interpreted, the name, ..and hell, it sounded stunning. I found myself putting it back on as background music later that night! But, halfway through the first track, I had completely forgotten about what I was already doing, and instead I was just lying on my bed, staring at the paintings on my walls, lost in the music.

No album has made me feel this way before. Kid A has opened up my emotions to musical interference.

So, y'see, usually my emotions are just.. numb. A couple years back, I suddenly started feeling films, crying during them, feeling everything the protagonist did. Now I'm starting to do that with music! Why, shortly after my second listening of Kid A, I popped Coldplay's Viva la Vida on, and the musical outro to "Death and All of His Friends" gave me a sudden vision which invoked powerful emotions I didn't even know I could possibly feel anymore. I may talk about that later.

Also. I listened to Kid A for a third time a few hours ago. Still as mesmerizing as ever. "Everything in its Right Place" and "Treefingers" blow my mind to smithereens every time. ^^;

Then again. My musical opinions, interpretations, personal experiences, and emotions don't mean much. I'm still just a kid.

Log Entry #34

Oh right. Hi.

They came. They didn't help. They just abandoned me. I've sorta been.. lost ever since.

Now, we've moved houses. This new house is nice. ..I have a girlfriend now. Long-distance. It's the single greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I just wish my emotions weren't exploding.

Dammit, social services, why did you have to abandon me?

Log Entry #33

It's midnight. Sunday, January 9th now.

The phone didn't ring on Monday. It rang the next day. Turned out to be a fluke. So I used the phone at my counselor's to call them and demanded some answers, informing them of my mum's plans to lie.

The phone will ring THIS Monday. And I'm getting out of here. I'm still scared, though. ._.

Log Entry #32

It's Monday, January the third. The phone has been quiet all day. Time is a dick.

I tossed and turned so many times last night, but I finally got to sleep while hugging my pillow tight.

I'm fucking scared. D: Why isn't anything happening?

Saturday, January 1, 2011

New Year.

On Monday, something big will happen. The day after my birthday. January 3rd, 2011. It's gonna be a big thing. If all goes accordingly, my life will change dramatically for the better. If things DON'T, I'm really very, very scared as to what will happen.

But yeah. It's a long story. >.>; I'm sure I linked to something or other related to it earlier. But for now, HAPPY 2011 TIME. My birthday is tomorrow. :D That'll be fun.

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Help. D:

I don't like being here in England. I mean.. okay, I do. It's the greatest country ever, and I love being here. But it's my situation, guys. >.<>My situation always takes forever and ever to explain, though. I think the easiest way to explain it would be to link to a post of me explaining it.

Just.. help. Please. Somehow. ._.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Uh-oh.

I have bad news, guys. Please don't scream. It's kind of a confession.

...I'm a prog fan. D:

I don't know when it happened. ..actually, yes, I do. I've been slowly becoming one over the course of the past five years. I became an official pretentious ponce around the time I met some random guy on Omegle who couldn't understand the point of a song that's longer than ten minutes. When you defend bands such as Genesis and Dream Theater for their musical abilities and songwriting talents, rather than defending bands like Megadeth and.. well, Genesis, for melodic gifts... I guess that's when you become a true prog fan.

Allow me to elaborate.

Prog- noun, abrev. - "Progressive rock," or, in some cases, "Progressive metal." A musical genre that is pretty damn tough to literally define. Often recognized for how fucking awesome it is its many similarities with jazz and classical music, it was mainly popular back in the 60s and 70s.

Allow me to elaborate in a different way.

If music were literature, The Beatles would be.. I dunno, Ernest Hemingway or somebody. Metallica would be Stephen King. Justin Bieber would be... Twilight. >_> Yes, Twilight is an author now. Shut up. To give an example of prog, Rush would be Orson Welles. Genesis would be some modern form of Homer. Pink Floyd would be.. uh.. hm. Pink Floyd would be JD Salinger-- really popular, doesn't care much for mainstream shit, only wrote about one particularly good book. Now Dream Theater... hoo, boy. Dream Theater would be..
I don't know! I do not know. At all. o_o If I could compare Dream Theater to anybody in the world, I'd compare them with Christopher Nolan. Hasn't directed a bad movie yet, in my opinion, though I haven't really.. SEEN many of his movies. <_< He made Inception, though. Inception is the first ever movie I've seen that I could not criticize. Shit, I even criticized some parts of Citizen Kane! In other words, I love Mister Nolan, and I love Dream Theater.

I still have not done a very good job of describing prog. I guess I haven't gone with the textbook definition yet.

Prog is, basically, music that does not follow any common song structures. It is a lot like jazz in the sense that it often features long, improvisational instrumental sections. A lot of the time, prog songs tell stories, rather than are about some single concept. In Dream Theater's case, a band might make a certain album about one concept, and make the individual songs about stories based around the concept.
Due to its uncommon structure (rarely will a prog song follow "Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus") and extended sections, prog songs may clock in at anything from thirty-three seconds to fifty-six minutes, and beyond. Oftentimes, bands will write entire suites, so that's cool, too. :D One particularly famous suite is "2112," by Rush. It's only twenty minutes, though. xD Even Genesis has written longer than that ("Supper's Ready," 23 minutes).
Fun fact: Prog bands can feature weird-ass instruments. A few bands out there feature floutists, or other odd instruments.

...well.. yeah, there ya go. I'm turning into a prog fan. The bad part about that is that prog fans are pretentious, ostentatious, elitist pricks. 8D I already hate songs that have longer choruses than they do verses. D: And songs that rely too much on 4/4 aren't necessarily my favourites. One of my favourites, "The Cinema Show" (Genesis) features an extensive 7/4(ish) synth solo. :DDD Oh, and I dislike Pink Floyd because they seem to be the only prog band anybody might possibly know, and I'm not too fond of their almost generic-sounding.. sound. Rush is good, though, even though they can be considered to be even more mainstream than Floyd. :P EMOTICONS

I will write more on this in a later entry.

O___O

Are you telling me that Paper Mario 3DS is NOT a remake of the original, and is, in fact, an entirely NEEEEEEEW ADVENTURRRRE?!

SPECIAL ABILITIES!
FUNKY ATTAAAAAACKS!

YES, PLEASE. I've been waiting for a new Paper Mario for a while. Shit, man, it's the main reason I started this particular blog! This thing used to be called the "Paper Dimension!" xD

I am going to faint. I am really... REALLY going to faint. ..okay, so not really, but STILL! A NEW ADVENTURE. Now with SPECIAL ABILITIES! And who could forget the FUNKY ATTACKS!!!

Books.

Ender's Game is a good book. So is Fahrenheit 451. 1984's cool, too.

..and in game-related news, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is amazing. I love it. One cutscene halfway through lasted literally half an hour. I love this game. xD
Heavy Rain's not bad, either. My favourite character ended up being the killer. D:

Tell Me...

If they're called Dream Theater, why are many of their songs about real topics? Why is it that Genesis and Rush have been able to make more dream-like stories? Then again, I guess, in this day and age, people dream about reality and six degrees of mental disorders more than fantasy and Puerto-Rican Americans who go through the apocalypse and search for a part of them that is mistaken for his brother. >_>

These are the kinds of thoughts that prevent me from being as funny as George Carlin.

Ramblings of a Crazy Watchman. (The Scale of 1 to Awesome!)

Yeah, so what else is new? Uhhh... I like Rush now. They rock. I mean, I always LIKED 'em, but now I have four of their albums.. and I love 'em. :D
I'm still godlike at Rock Band. :P
Playin' through Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door again. Stuck at Chapter 6. Guess I lost my touch over the years.
I'm stiiiill boring!
Finally playing Halo 3. Lemme tell ya, that is THE most... mixed game I've ever played. I don't hate it anymore, but... I still don't like it. And before you ask, I'm playing through the campaign on Legendary.
Modern Warfare 2? Played it. Beat it. NOT ORIGINAL. ....fun, yes, but NOT original! Creative? Somewhat. I.. I liked the story, I guess. On a scale of 1 to Awesome? I give it an 8.
OH YES I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THAT

The Scale of 1 to Awesome
is a new rating system that EVERYONE should give a try once in their lives.
Really.
Promise.
I came upon it one day when exploring the many sections of the internet (to be explained later). It's really one of those things that, whether you like it or not, you've simply GOT to try it before you die.
I mean...
it's...
it's not HARD, or anything. You simply have to rate something on a scale of 1 to 17. 'Cause 17 is The Awesome Number.

Anyhoo, Modern Warfare 2's campaign, on a scale of 1 to Awesome, is about an 8. Not too good, not TOO bad. :/ Really, every FPS game SHOULD have a campaign like that, but not in a good way. I mean... that SHOULD AT LEAST be the standard by now, don't you think? So we can move on to bigger and better things? Like Half-Life? :P

Oh, speaking of, Halo 3, on a scale of 1 to Awesome, is about a 6. Maybe I'm being a tad bit generous.

Bioshock 2, on the other hand... that may be an 11, 12, 13? It's good, but not perfect. Then again, I haven't even beaten it yet. xD

And, uh.. I s'pose that'll be it for now. Prolly. Have a good day, people. :)

hai thar (Short story time!)

It seems like every time I say something on this blog, it's a "Hello, I am still alive" post, huh? xD Well... I suppose that's what this is, too.

I realize I haven't worked on Hoshi no Kaabii for a while. Gotta work on that. Sorry. Guess all my attention's been put onto Dark Chao Adventures (which I remind you again has its own separate blog and website... AND FACEBOOK PAGE! :D) and life n' stuff. I'm sure I have something to show you, though... hmmm....

Hm (A short story by Jordan Dooling. That's-a me, folks. Some of the folks who enjoyed DCA enjoyed this, too, so... maybe you will.)

Spin. Spin. Spin.
The fan casts a shadow on the ceiling.
Panning down reveals a cryptic wall, covered in nothing but blood.
Further down is one man. The man is standing in front of a dead body, gun in hand.
He drops the gun, and runs.

"Where?"

Nowhere. No doors.

"Where are the doors?"

No doors. He runs again.

"Where?"

Nowhere. He is trapped inside an odd room. No doors. No windows. He is surely going insane by now, and we can just sit back and watch. Enjoy.
He checks the dead body. It is of an old woman, at least seventy.

"I killed her. I killed her? No. That gun.. is not mine. No. NO!"

He looks. No gun.

"No gun? No gun. No gun!"

Of course. Suicide is not an option.

"Where?"

Nowhere. The gun is nowhere.

"Where is the gun?"

He keeps asking these questions, but he will not find anything. There's no one to answer him. No one except the woman.

"AAAHHH... but I would a but huh where why come on..."

The man is spouting nonsense. Our hypothesis was correct. He is going insane.

"Please, God... please... PLEASE... let me out of here..."

Hm.

"I need Him to save me... I need YOU to save me..."

It would appear he has resorted to drastic measures, like a soldier in a foxhole. The most curious results will stem from exploiting this weakness of his.
A beam of light is cast down, seemingly from nowhere.

"Huh? Ah... ah.. yes, yes, please, God, can you take me out of this room?"

What a request. He is not yet ready. His mind cannot comprehend it just yet.
The beam of light shines on the dead body.

"What? I didn't kill her! I didn't! I just... I.. she.. I mean... she was... she's old! She died of natural causes!"

Excuses.

"Well... actually, she.. she... had a heart attack. ..oh, PLEASE, God, PLEASE let me out of here... I'll be good from now on!"

Bargaining. No need for it, but a bargain, nontheless. Rewarding him will only indebt him to us. We do not want that.
The beam of light shifts to reveal the gun.

"Um... uh.. look, I... I didn't.... I know what this looks like...."

Excuses. Correct, but still excuses.

"I.. that's not even my gun! It.. I just found it in my hand.. after she..."

Correct. Not believable, but correct.
The light shines on the walls, showing all the blood.

"Holy... uh.. I.. I didn't... I don't..."

Babble.

"What do the walls have to do with anything?"

The blood is the elephant in the room. He tries to avoid mentioning it, but it is right there, in front of him.
The light shines on him again.

"Um.. look, this isn't what it looks like... I just want to get out of here!"

Not yet. He must learn before he can leave.
The beam shifts once more, and shows the fan.

"Uhm... I'm not sure how that fan relates to... ah! Electricity! It has to be plugged in somewhere!"

Now he is getting it.
The man takes a look around the room.

"Where?"

Nowhere. There are no wires.

"Uh.. hm. I suppose.. the wires must not be in this room."

Fool.
The beam shines on the blood once more.

"Wha? What about the wall?"

Hm. He is still not getting the big picture. Exploitation of drastic measures only got him so far.
The beam disappears.

"No! NO! Uh.. please, God! Please! I NEED YOU!"

The whole room goes dark.
The man begins to whimper.

"Why me?"

Pointless questioning.

"Why now?"

Hm. Time. Strange concept to bring up in this situation.

"Why HER?"

More pointless questoning.
The man yawns.
He is getting tired.

"Why... why?"

Good question. Not the best situation to ask.
The man yawns again.

"Wh....why..why?"

The man goes to sleep for what would be the final time.
The experiment has failed. Abort.

Hmmmmm... History Lessons. ^_^

http://www.atlantaspring.com/dca/index.html

I just wanna invite you, whoever might possibly check this blog, to join in the DCA cheer. Dark Chao Adventures. The most successful comedy fan-script I've ever made. ...the most successful ANYTHING I've ever made, really. It's been generally well-received for over four years now, and is currently in its seventh season. The seventh season is also its LAST season, unless otherwise noted. It is quite a sporadic season, actually... with crazy plots and as many episodes as the story will take.

I never.. really talked about DCA here, so... allow me to elaborate.

Season One: Shade and Chao-- made in 2005 for a forum called Chao Civic. People loved all eight episodes of this season, and enjoyed the Invader ZIM jokes and... stuff. The season was simply just the wacky antics of a group of Dark chao (Shade, Dark, Red [formerly known as "Devillish"], Shadow, and Shade Junior), and a group of Hero chao (Chao, Hero, Tail, Speedy, Knuckle, Aqua). They went to Kindergarten together at Chao Pre-school And Kindergarten (CPAK). Season One introduced a recurring enemy-- the Poker Gang (consisting of Metal Sonic, and "Metal Sonic's Poker Buddies--" Mecha Knuckles and the Tails Doll, from Sonic R).

Work started on a Season Two, involving Doctor Who (from the TV show with the same name), but BAM, my computer effed up, and I lost all data for that, save one episode. Oh, and Chao Civic shut down, so I couldn't just re..get the episodes that I posted. Luckily, I had already saved all of Season One. Years later, in 2007, I finally decided to start a NEW Season Two.

Season Two: Dark and Mephiles-- the series began revolving more around the story, instead of the jokes. This season was another eight episodes of madness. Mephiles (from Sonic the Hedgehog [2006]) came in, as well as a female Dark chao (also called "Shade," commonly referred to as "She-Shade," or "SShade"). Season Two also introduced the apocalyptic future, which comes up a lot in later seasons. The Poker Gang stays in the background this season, although Metal Sonic gets his time to shine during the season finale.

Season Two was posted on my first ever blog, but that blog is no more. So, in 2007, I posted the first two seasons at another forum, called Chao Talk. It was extremely well-received there, and gained a fan base! :D Chao Talk did NOT get shut down, and people wanted more DCA, so naturally, I gave them a LOT more.

Season Three: The Beta Avengers-- the people called for another season, so I wrote up another eight episodes. This season introduced a major foe for the chao: the Beta Avengers, after whom this season was named. The BAs consisted of several characters who were present in the original Season Two (officially known as a beta season). The main members were called Beaten Graves (not called that for a few seasons, however), and were the four mysterious characters with unknown names. Season Three introduced the MILKMAN (the leader of Beaten Graves). The Beta Avengers simply wanted to kill the chao for some random reason. The season finale of this season was a landmark-- the first ever Feature-Length episode. It was the length of three episodes put together, and involved the chao, lost on a strange planet. While not that long when compared to the more recent episodes, it was still a momentous occasion.

The season finale of Season Three gained great praise, and ended in a big cliffhanger-- the chao found a secret city on the strange planet. The fans wanted more story, more jokes, and more DCA, so in the summer of 2007, I decided to put my script-writing skills where my mouth was, and wrote up some very story-based episodes.

Season Four: Purflee and Luis-- eight episodes, seven of which were all linked to the season finale of Season Three. It told the story of all the chao, lost in the secret city. They died a lot, but found that they could respawn somehow. The second Beta Avenger, simply named "JOE," was introduced here, and was easily more mysterious than the MILKMAN. The end of the season saw the return of the chao to their gardens, and a possibility of things returning to normal.

The people of Chao Talk adored Season Four, some considering it to be the best season yet, especially since I included some of their chao in the engaging story. Of course, they wanted more. They wanted continuation. So, I tossed together eight more episodes in Q3-Q4 of 2007.

Season Five: Echo and Red-- the final "normal" season, if you will. This season consisted mostly of the chao, in their gardens, waiting for the Beta Avengers to strike. The third member of Beaten Graves, a Dark/Fly chao named "Echo," spent this season flying above the Hero Garden, ominously foreshadowing some form of event in the near future. Metal Speedy, another Beta Avenger, made a quiet appearance, while still hinting at things to come. Then, during the season finale, Shade went through the game, "Portal," then on a somewhat... spiritual-esque journey back to the gardens, where he met the fourth and last member of Beaten Graves, named "Tagliare." At the climax of the finale, all the chao are forced to evacuate the gardens, or face a deadly explosion-related demise.

By this point, the fans were hooked to the story, and yet... they calmed a lot. For a while, nobody even mentioned DCA. I, myself, was taking a small hiatus before the next season, and I suppose the fans decided to get on with their lives by this point. However, in May of 2008, I randomly decided to begin work on what I knew would be a wild season. The wildest season yet. Season Six.

Season Six: The Grey Journey-- this season will be rather... hard to explain. But, I'll try. Basically, the MILKMAN had been warning Shade, halfway through Season Five, that soon he would embark on a great journey to get seven chaos drives. Once he obtains all seven, he would have the power to stop the Beta Avengers for once and for all. Then, the bomb threat at the conclusion of the last season had separated the chao. So, Shade just... had to go on an epic journey.

This season, this JOURNEY, saw Shade going through the game, "Half-Life." It saw him going on a long road trip across the continental US. It saw him going through an odd rendition of "Metal Gear Solid." It saw him battling his best friend to the death. It saw him dealing with costumed villains, all trying to murder him. It saw him going through "Halo," but in a musical format. Finally, it saw him finishing off the Beta Avengers in a three-part finale. This season was the longest season yet, ending at TEN episodes, each episode being MUCH longer than your average one. However, the fans did not comment that much. Not even when I made the truly Feature-Length Halloween script, "Gears n' Roses," which was the DCA adaption of "Gears of War." It was yet another hallmark, ranging at about 144 kilobytes (which is considerably large for a script). Not even when I had finished the fiftieth episode of DCA, also the true season finale for Season Six, and also the conclusion of the Beta Avengers.

For a while, I was bored and lonely. I spent November and December of 2008 working on three odd scripts-- the first three episodes of Season Seven. I finished the third one in early 2009. It was not until much, much later, sometime around September 2009, when I had actually finished the FOURTH episode of Season Seven, and had finally got another story arc going. By this time, new fans had arrived, and had actually read the entire series, including the second truly Feature-Length script, "The Secret City," which was around 227 kilobytes in length. These fans had proved to be as dedicated as the old ones. Some old fans had even begun to return! So, with four more episodes to go (all finished within mere days), I knew that DCA was back on track.

Season Seven: The End-- this was one for the history books. The first three scripts were rather mediocre, lackluster at best... then the fourth one came along. I had decided to make a faithful recreation of "Metal Gear Solid 2," DCA-style. It took five episodes to do it, but I did it. During that ridiculously wild ride, with even more plot twists than Season Six in its entirety, I had planned out the rest of the entire show. Season Seven would be The End, and would not be eight episodes, nor ten, nor even twenty. I wanted Season Seven to go on for as long as it took... for the Veteran's Committee (the NEW bad guys) to be eliminated. The Veteran's Committee was a serious threat-- twelve characters, all with cryptically hidden identities, who all wanted the same thing: the continuation of evolution. They spent some time thinking, and decided that DCA was not helping, but DELAYING that cause, so they aimed to put a stop to Dark Chao Adventures for once and for all. In order to stop them, Shadow (a green Dark chao who, until this point, was essentially forgotten) would have to go on his own journey-- a GREEN Journey-- for seven chaos drives. He, partnered up with post-Grey Journey Shade, would prove a worthy adversary for the Veteran's Committee.

Currently, Season Seven has barely begun. The Metal Gear Solid 2 section is over, and Shadow is now trying to get the first chaos drive, lost somewhere in future Europe. In other words, he, Shade, Dark, and Red will have to traverse through "Half-Life 2."

So, click the link at the top of this entry if you want to embark on a magical mystery tour of pure awesome goodness! See why so many people love this series! See why I haven't posted here in a while! See what I've been doing all this time!

Kirby VS the Masked Knight (Hoshi no Kaabii part 14)

(Note: What the? I can't change the font style anymore! *sigh* Well, you'll just have to, I dunno, figure out who's talking.)

Kirby babbled, "No! No! No fat! Me no veelence!" but Meta Knight couldn't stop himself from charging forward, preparing to strike. So, Kirby did the only thing he could do; he dodged.

HAHAHA!!! Finally, the moment has come! The moment where Kirby and I duel to the death! And yet... somehow, I'm not fighting him on purpose.... I just am.... fighting him without wanting to. I don't quite understand what's going on.

The fight raged on for a while before Kirby decided to quickly end this. He found a factory machine, and managed to slam it onto Meta Knight's sword. "What? Urgh... my... my sword! I can't... lift the machine..... grr... This fight's not over! You hear me?! We'll fight again someday, and we'll FINISH THIS!!!" Meta Knight screamed as he attempted to lift the machine to get the sword underneath. Kirby just ran deeper into the factory. As stated before, saving his friends was priority one.

It. It. What's wrong, It? "I... I.... found Project: Protect. I can't believe this." Oh, dear. Um... I'm sorry I did not tell you of this sooner. "No, no, that's not the problem." Really? Then, what is? "I can't read Webdings."

Despite all of Kirby's efforts, he did not succeed in finding his friends. Really, it's just because he doesn't know the factory that well. Still, he looked, and he looked, but he just couldn't find anyone familiar. He found a lot of random Waddle Dees, though. Brainwashed, but random. Sad, and devoid of hope, Kirby left the factory. Now, he didn't just not have his friends, he didn't know where to go. He was lost on another world... a world controlled by shadows. Tears coming to his eyes, Kirby lay on the ground, and slowly closed his eyes.

I am sorry for lying to you, 02. "It is... quite all right. As long as you will help me now." Very well. Good. Yes. I will. What must I help with? "First, translate this Project: Protect thing for me." Um... okay. I shall. *a-hem* .... let me see...

"2?" "2 come doppia cifra." "... vedo. Grazie, agnello." L'uomo girato indietro e diretto verso la sua città natale e seguito questo destino, allora vivo felicemente mai dopo. La morale da questa storia? DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. RIBELLE.

"I can see something about me around the end... and 'ribelle,' which I assume means 'rebel.' You don't suppose you could translate Italian?" I suppose I could. Let me see. Hmm....

L' man came up to l' lamb. L' lamb has watched l' man. " I pray, lamb… what is my destiny? " L' man asked. L' lamb answered, " You will be under a lord mighty. This lord will seem initially narcotic, but more successively it will seem only like a dictator. In order to stop this destiny from happening, you must destroy 2." " 2? " " 2." " … I see. Thanks, sir." L' man turned and directed towards its city born them and followed this destiny, then lived happily ever after. The moral from this story? DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. DESTROY 02. REBEL.

Oh, my. This was in the Rebellion Manual? "I knew this would happen eventually... such is why I made you my second in command." "Wait a minute. This.... tiny waddle dee is your second in command? I thought I was your second in command, sir!" "Miracle Matter..." "I should have known that little runt would get all the glory. ...and she showed you Project: Protect, too? I knew she'd be nothing but trouble!" "Are you saying that you.... support this project?" "All right, FINE. I admit it. I was the leader of the project." "That's IT. Forget second in command, Mircacle Matter... you are lucky to be even ALIVE after today! You are hereby banished from the Dark Star... you are fired! If I ever see your twenty faces again, I will kill you myself." There was a slight pause. Suddenly, I couldn't believe my eyes-- 02 was attacked by Miracle Matter! STOP! STOP FIGHTING, PLEASE!!! So, they stopped fighting. "Why should I listen to YOU? You're.... you're what cost me my job. I... I'm leaving." "Yes, you had BETTER." ..what......just...... "I am not quite sure, Minny." After taking a few deep breaths, I was shocked to hear 02 tell me, "I think I have a task for you."

HEY!!!

Guess what?! I wrote this on my Wii!

Also, I'm thinking of making more Kaabii.

Just wanted to make this clear.

I know, this is random, and weird, but I just got my first comment (for http://djay32-paperdimension.blogspot.com/2007/04/invading-castle-bleck-spoilers-included.html that entry). I have a reply.

I didn't make the videos, but I can still help. First off, I had the same problem once. I'm pretty sure you gotta go into the previous room and light all the candles as Bowser. Hang on, lemme look for a walkthrough... here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlBx7Cwokq4

Try that. And, next time, I'll reply in a comment, unless it's something REALLY important, or something.

Hey, how long's it been?

Seriously, how long HAS it been? Well, in case you forgot, I'm DJay32, the owner of this blog. *sigh* My old blog's finally pushing up dasies. Go ahead, TRY and go to http://djay.blog-city.com Give it a try.

Well, I know my activity's been... aw, who am I kidding; I've been about as active as much as George Bush cares for our environment. Really, I've been catering to my other fans-- the fans of Dark Chao Adventures, a series which I haven't shown here. In fact, one fan made a blog about the series and invited me to be an Admin in it around mid-October, and that's where I've been since. Here, I'll give you the link. http://darkchaoadventures.blogspot.com/ I'm not the ONLY one who posts there; mLe (the fan) does post sometimes. Yet, I'm the one who contributes the most.

If you wanna know more about DCA, I recommend you visit the official website: http://www.atlantaspring.com/dca/index.html There you'll find news, the scripts, info, and some fan service (fan pics, memorials, etc).

And, uh... yes, Kaabii will be finished; just don't expect it anytime soon. Perhaps expect some more installments once someone compliments me on it, like what happened with DCA. Uh... see ya when I see ya.

Kirby Returns! (Hoshi no Kaabii part 13)

After a few minutes of flying, Kirby reached Shiver Star. He carefully landed on the surface and took a look at his surroundings. The city. He's close to the factory. Kirby began his search for the factory where his friends are most likely being kept.

How much time is left, is the question constantly popping into my head. These strange things are keeping me here in this black hole, telling me I'll "be going soon." What does that mean? Every time I ask them, they always reply with "When it returns." I don't even know what 'it' is, but one thing's for sure- the moment I get to go out there and stab me some puffball, I'll be happier than I could ever imagine.

0... did you blow up with the volcano? What happened to you? "...I have been thinking, little one..." yes, what is it, 02? "I do not want to kill Kirby. Nor do I want to completely devour all brightness... why do my men insist on engulfing all worlds until the shadow pressure builds up and everything dies?" 0 asked me. This, I could understand. I looked at him in the wrong way, like I was shocked, but secretly... I agree with him. This, he knew. "By the way... Minnie... do you have any idea what Project: Protect is?" I felt scared when he mentioned this. How did 0 learn about this? I quickly abandoned my fear and shook my head. "N-no, sir, no I do not." I musn't allow him to learn about this. "Hmm... all right, Minnie. I believe you. However, should you come upon but one scintillating excerpt from such a mysterious marvel, it is advised, suggested, and ordered that you refer said excerpt to me." I nodded my head, and 02 flew away. Oh, my. I could tell that 02 is quite serious about this. He never uses the words "scintillating," "marvel," OR "excerpt" anymore. And, how did he even know that Project: Protect was scintillating? How did he know what it was? How did he even know it was part of a greater piece of literature?

Hello, and welcome to the Rebellion Manual. This manual is used only by Dark Matter that wish to rebel against the steadily decreasing quality of 02's power. "'Steadily decreasing'? L'agnello ha risposto nel ritorno, "sarete sotto un righello mighty. Questo righello sembrerà inizialmente stupefacente, ma più successivamente sembrerà soltanto come uno psico dictator. L'uomo girato indietro e diretto verso la sua città natale e seguito questo destino, allora vivo felicemente mai dopo. La morale da questa storia? DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. DISTRUGGA 02. RIBELLE.
